  • Mood: Dazed
  • Listening to: The Editors - The Racing Rats
  • Drinking: Nice reminder. Off to make tea...
One router disconnection, two reset passwords, and twenty minutes of staring at the screen scratching my head later, I seem to have reclaimed my deviations. It feels a bit like emerging from a cave, or possibly into one.

I'm now in the process of dusting off my account, cringing at some of its contents, and trying to clear two years' worth of deviant watch. I'm on a roll; if I tried to change a light bulb now, in theory it would go swimmingly. In reality, I'm still a mite too short.

Tea made, and now I can get down to the crux of the journal entry. Upon clearing out deviant art, I might now have an impulse to put new stuff up here (it needs writing after all), particularly if my writing group succeeds in its aim of helping me become more disciplined in the area of sitting down to write regularly. But what I'm pondering is that, although deviant art is very big on ensuring that the rights of the piece of work remain with the artist, I was once categorically told that if said piece of work has been published anywhere then it can't be resubmitted anywhere else.

The point in case here was that 'anywhere' included deviantart/anywhere on the net, and I was trying to enter something into a poetry contest, yonks ago. They wouldn't have it. So my ponderance is: is it a good idea to upload on here; the rights remain the artist's in originality, but not in where said work can be sent, given, or reproduced elsewhere. Still, nice to upload and share on here of course.

Muh, I don't know. It's all a bit of a grey area, like the skyline outside. Honestly, what's it doing raining that much? It's July! The ducks have literally landed and are doing a decent job of trying to swim on what was grass only yesterday. Today it looks like some sort of overgrown pond into which someone's poured green paint. Maybe if it rains enough I'll be able to swim up to the lightbulb...

thanks a lot for the fav!
:iconjuddr:
welcome! i love it, so many colours it almost looks unnatural, but it could never be that. where did you take it?
:iconultraviolet33:
i took this pic from a bridge named "Pont de la caille" near Annecy ! It was really colourful and beautiful!
:iconjuddr:
it is - looks as though you were there at just the right time of year! it's the way it stretches on into the background... i guess it looks like that all over the surrounding area too :D

Hmm, so I did see a cyclops mood there, it wasn't my imagination. Well, insofar as I can feel like a cyclops I'm sure I do. Maybe cross a hobbit with a cyclops though, don't think I could keep up with the height thing. Also not so keen on sheep farming as the cyclops that pop to mind. Perhaps sleepy would have been more believable for mood thingy.

My own deviant art page. There's nothing here and it manages to look busy already. very confuzzling indeed. What have I got myself into? ;)

It's a time of change at the moment, so things are either not typed up or not on this computer. Will change that as soon as possible and see about posting some bits up. I wonder how my uni would take to me posting up the thing I've decided to write for next year's project...
:iconblackbirdess:
Hey, can't wait to see what you start posting up!! :D
